CILIP Members' Fest / Government Information Group panel webinar: What's it Really Like Working in Government Information in 2026? Tuesday 3 March, 12pm - 1:15pm
The work of colleagues in Government Knowledge and Information Management (GKIM) is often marked by a paradox: whilst often supporting impactful and high-profile work, our own visibility is often lower. This webinar, delivered as part of CILIP's Members' Fest, will contribute to addressing this through introducing GKIM and the Government Information Group (GIG).
A panel of GKIM professionals will talk about their work in the sector, the diverse areas of policy they support, their routes into the civil service environment, the skills required, and the unique selling points and big challenges GKIM offers knowledge and information professionals. In addition they will answer questions from attendees.
This session will be based on a format previously used successfully by GIG and repeated with different speakers in response to positive audience feedback.
- Frances Cassidy - Subscriptions Librarian, Bank of England
- Jennifer Hill - Information Scientist, UK Health Security Agency
- Hank Malik - Knowledge Lead Partner, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority
You can register for the session via the webinar's page on the CILIP Events Calendar.
