The Government Information Group are pleased to announced a webinar showcasing developments in the application of artificial intelligence in the library context in collaboration with Clarivate. This talk explores how AI is reshaping academic research and why libraries risk being bypassed as users move towards general-purpose AI tools. It introduces Nexus Connect, a solution that brings trusted library content, services and citation support directly into users’ AI workflows; as well as the introduction of DeepR, bringing full text to Web of Science discovery. The session will show how libraries can remain visible and central while delivering the convenience of AI with the confidence of authoritative academic resources.

Cristina is responsible for shaping AI-powered solutions that support research, learning, and library services. She specialises in integrating artificial intelligence into scholarly infrastructures in ways that are transparent, responsible, and aligned with academic values. Cristina regularly speaks at international library and scholarly-communications forums on topics such as AI in education, trust in research systems, metadata, analytics, and the role of infrastructure in supporting ethical AI adoption.
