Information Professionals, Censorship and Intellectual Freedom

 

With hate speech and ‘book banning’ on the rise worldwide information professionals are increasingly on the frontline in debates around censorship and intellectual freedom. CILIP has launched a sector-wide consultation in order to develop a new policy and supporting materials on Censorship and Intellectual Freedom in our profession. This one hour seminar will bring together leading practitioners to share practical insights and experiences, providing a platform for members and non-members to contribute to this important new policy.
